I remember getting a brochure from SWIHA:Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, and each time I threw it away, another would show up in the mail. Very demanding Nudge from Spirit. I literally threw in the towel and gave it a shot. I needed to move forward with my life and I had no direction. One night after school, I was sitting at home in meditation and I heard a loud bang on my window. I went outside and saw a hummingbird on the ground - being afraid my dogs would eat it, I brought it inside and put it in a shoebox. Not knowing what else to do, I started doing Reiki on the hummingbird. I did several sessions over the next 4 hours - magically, it sat up and I was able to release it back to the wild. Another message from Spirit showing me I was on the right path. When all was said and done, I graduated from SWIHA as an Integrated Healing Arts Practitioner, became certified as a Reiki practitioner and began practicing at a wellness center in Scottsdale. The more I practiced, the deeper the practice meant to me. I started bringing in different tools and modalities and I was up and running. I loved it so much, I went on to get my Reiki Master Teacher certification, where I help others learn to use Reiki to self-treat or begin their own healing practice. I have no idea how it all divinely worked out, but I feel like I have done this work all of my life or lifetimes!
